Human Rights PolicyThe aim of the Tomkins Human Rights Policy is to communicate to our customers, suppliers, investors, employees and the communities in which we operate, the ethical and social values we respect and our commitment to uphold human rights. By promoting sound ethical values and human rights principles we aim to be an aspiring business for people to join. Tomkins is a world-class global engineering and manufacturing group, which pursues and promotes human rights principles in all aspects of our business. The Company is dedicated to the adoption of internationally recognised human rights standards in its global operations. The international sources of law upon which our human rights standards are based aim to ensure a consistent world-wide adoption of the principles throughout the group. Each operating entity may retain its existing Human Rights Policy or similar document provided such document incorporates the principles of this Policy and has received the prior approval of the Chief Executive Officer of Tomkins. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights provides ‘a common standard of achievement for all people and all nations’ which Tomkins observes and promotes. The guidelines of the International Labour Organisation Conventions and The Convention for the Rights of the Child are also fundamental to instructing our policy provisions.
