Tomkins rated Europe's top business for corporate governance

Euromoney survey puts Tomkins number two in developed markets worldwide Tomkins to join FTSE4Good UK Index
Tomkins plc today welcomed a new survey in Euromoney magazine, which showed the FTSE 100 company as the leading firm in both Britain and Europe for Corporate Governance.
Euromoney rated 187 of the top companies from around the world on criteria such as Ownership Transparency & Rights, Financial Transparency & Process, Board Structure, Stakeholder Relations and Alignment of Managerial Interests. Tomkins plc was rated number two overall for the developed markets and the best of four British companies in the top ten.
In addition, it was announced today that Tomkins will be included in the FTSE4Good UK Index with effect from the close of business tomorrow.
