News releaseGates Power Transmission Plant wins Honda Supplier Award5 June 2007 For the sixth time in eight years, and the third year in a row, Gates Moncks Corner rubber synchronous plant has been awarded the prestigious American Honda Motor Company Supplier Performance Award. In March, Plant Manager Wayne Fletcher accepted the award on behalf of Gates at the annual Honda Supplier Performance Award ceremonies in Toronto, Canada. The Gates team was recognized for Outstanding Performance in Support of Service Parts for 2006. The Honda representatives highlighted how the award is a testament to Gates dedication to meeting customer expectations, which is critical given that Gates is one of Honda’s on-demand suppliers, where daily orders are placed based on actual sales. In addition to providing quality products that meet customer delivery and cost expectations, the dedicated associates in Moncks Corner apply Gates leading automotive belt technology and advanced supply chain capabilities to help Honda achieve service levels of 100 percent. “This award validates that we are heading in the right direction via helping our customers accelerate results through leading product technology, quality and on-time delivery capabilities,” said Greg Vigil, Director of the Moncks Corner–PowerGrip Product Team.
